DH8D TOLD is primarily intended for compatibility with Majestic Software's Dash-8 Q400 add-on for Microsoft's Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D platform. Nonetheless, it is expected to function effectively with most other Dash-8 Q400 add-ons available in the market.

The software calculates aircraft masses and relevant takeoff and landing speeds, which are traditionally obtained from the aircraft's published speed tables or TOLD (Takeoff and Landing Data) cards utilized in actual flight operations.
